Epiphyte; leaves green with darker green wavy cross- bands, these weakly suffused with maroon near the margins of leaf at base? scape erect, bracts folia- ceous, the middle and upper with maroon wavy cross- bands and the upper with red-maroon sheaths which become yellowish near junction with blade; inflores- cence erect, primary bracts colored like upper scape bracts, flowers slightly pedicellate, spreading to very slightly decurved; primary bracts spreading usually recurved at junction of blade and sheath, floral bracts green frequently suffused with red maroon, sepals green to yellow-green suffused with maroon especially at margins, flowers greenish- white at anthesis, corolla "tube" strongly genicualte.
