Epiphyte low on tree; bracts erect, appressed,
brickdmaroon reddish as are other bracts and
scape; scape erect; leaves in erect-aseedding
rosette, coriaceous, pale olive green with
suffusion of dull maroon at base and splotches
of lavender at tip. Rocky slopes bordering
