Euonymus europaea L.
Long-abandoned, overgrown, small quarry in wooded
limestone ravine; top, wall, and floor covered with
trashy woods of Fraxinus pennsylvanica (dominant),
Tilia americana, and Celtis occidentalis.
Euonymus on talus slope and floor below E-facing
wails, growing in waste ground of bare dirt and
limestone shingles with very few associates: Hesperis
matronailis, Parthenocissus quinquefolia, and
Rhamnus cathartica.
Local population of 9 plants: 7 shrubs, these 1- to 4-
stemmed, 2.4--3.0 m tall, 15--28 mm	and 2
small trees, these 1-stemmed, 4.6 and 8.2 m tall and
6 and 15 cm D.B.H.
