I-57-south, about 1.5 miles northeast of Lick Creek.
Lick Creek 7.5 minute U.S.G.S. quadrangle.
Elevation 594 feet. Battery Rock Escarpment,
sandstone and shales with talus and thin sandy soil,
blasted for highway.
Disturbed sandstone barrens and cliffs, and roadside,
Acalypha spp., Croton spp., Juniperus virginiana,
Ulmus alata, non-native weeds. Locally common erect
annual herb in dry sandy gravel.
