Depto. Chiquisaca, Prov. Oropeza, near Guerraloma, 3100
m. alt., some 18 km. from Sucre.
Associated with S. boliviense and several species of
grasses, on poor rocky soil. Tubers white, small, 1-2 cm.
in diameter. Chromosome number: 2n=2x=24.
