4.5 km SW of Cabezas. Chaco forest on flat area, Opuntia
kiskaloro, Monvillea cavendishii, Pereskia sacharosa,
Achatocarpus praecox.
18°49’S, 63°20’W. alt. 550 m.
Shrub 2.2. m. tall, with a single trunk at the base, then a few
branches, but only the ends of the lowest branches
sometimes sagging to ground. Flowers bright orange,
odorless (4:00 P.M, sunny), wilting darker and more reddish.
