Anemia hirsuta (L.) Sw.
Open oak-pine woodland (Quercus resinosa the
overwhelming dominant; two pines present, iarcl.
Pinus oocarpa) , the trees all small and even-
aged (as if the area had been cleared some 20
years before, but scarcely any stumps present) ;
terrain very stony, the soil sandy; understory
severely grazed, with Cheilanthes angustifo-
lia (abundant) , Milla biflora (conspicuous) ,
Prochnyanthes mexicana , Pitcairnia karwinsky-
ana, Sphenostigma longispathum, Liparis vexil-
lifera , Begonia balmisiana, B. angustiloba,
Tephrosia watsoniana, Macrosiphonia hypoleu-
ca , Isostephane heterophylla, Cyperus , Euphor-
bia , Hypericum, Valeriana, Castilleja , etc.
