Echo Summit (Hwy #50), in front of California Alpine
Lodge. Growing in the angle of the "L" formed by the
Kitchen and the front portion of the lodge.
Eldorado County, California.
This plant has survived for at least 10 years, it
covers the ground and attempts to climb the wall,
but most importantly it flourishes in spite of
winter climate.
