Hexastylis» This is apparently.the same plant that I
saw In JLtarnanT Go*, N.G., in May, 1940, and reported on in
Gastanea,5:117-118. (Feb* 1941.) But it is not at all
certain that it Is Epical H» Virginlea, as has been sup-
posed* It is certainly quite different from the illustra-
tion of that species in Britton & Brown1 s Illustrated Flora,
1896# Fresh specimens were sent to me by Mrs* Gregory, at
my request, and then photographed and pressed.
