The general habit of the plant is as follows:
a.	The bud at this fork is pale.'
b.	Thèse stalks are entirely naked.
c.	This pinna is 22 cm. long and 3.5 cru. wide.
d.	This pinna is 4 cm. wide.
The primary forks have one or two pectinae on the inner side as repre-
sented, but are otherwise naked.
The branches have a whitish tomentum and narrow scales.
