Utricularia dichotoma Labill. South Australia. Region 2: Lake Eyre. 29°52'S, 139°39'E Twelve Springs, Moolawatana Station. (Callabonna (1:250 000) 258 303.) Locally common. Mound spring (saline) with Cyperaceae (GHB 1268). Eriocaulon carsonii and scattered grasses. Deep white sands with saline encrustation. Swamp plant in permanent water. Leaves very reduced ca 5mm long. Flowers prominent, ca 15 cm tall. Calyx reddish-brown. Corolla bright deep purple with prominent yellow central patch. G.H. Bell 1266 16.ix.1987.
