shield, mosaic of semideciduous forest,
wooded savanna and savanna wetlands.
Terrestrial from stolon, leaves a dense
spiral rosette; corolla purple, Bracts and
fruits rose colored; dense colonies with
Bromeliad # 1220, on bald granite outcrops.
