BOSQUE DE ENCINO. Nearly flat area on
infertile, thin soil over alluvial gravels,
dominated by Quercus oleoides 8-12 m. tall, with
Byrsonima crassifolia, and with Scheelea lieb-
mannii in lower areas.
Tank epiphyte, a mass near base of tree trunk.
Whole inflorescence (except the flowers) is red.
