An epiphytic rhizothaAnus fern the
rhizomes stout densely covered with
black scales, stipes brown stiff
covered with large dark brown scales,
fronds simple very dark green and
glossy above dull beneath and very
leathery, fertile fronds smaller and
more slender covered densely with black
spores beneath, the mid-rib of the
sterile fronds scaley with a scattering
of «sales down each side of the mid-rib
on the tinder side glabrous above. Common
and sometimes locally dominant on tree
trunks and branches with Asplenium-
Loxogramme-Pleopeltis in Nuxia eongesta-
Juniperus prccera-Po&ocarpus-Xymalos mon
osperma-Agaureia evergreen forest on a
gentle slope of the mountain.
