VENEZUELA: AMAZONAS: 3-6 km ENE of San Carlos
de Rio Negro on road to Solano, Forests and
savannas on white sand.
Common in moist forest margins; petioles to 1
m long; Ivs dark shiny green above, paler and
lustrous beneath; leaf apex pointed upwards;
spathe mottled dark and pale green, tinged with
red; spadix with staminate fis brown,
pistillate fis (fruit) pink.
