Large climber to 4 m on tree trunk in forest. Flowering stem 2.6
cm thick, internodes 3 cm long often hidden by petiole bases.
Petiole mottled paler green, sheath wings not drying; geniculum
4-7 cm long, adax. channeled with alulate margins continued onto
the non-vaginate part. Blade thick leathery-brittle, adax. glossy
dark green, rib angular-concave x 10-11 mm & medium green, I.
veins sulcate 10-11 per side; abax. very glossy pale green, rib
strong & paler, I.'s creamy. Peduncle 24.5 cm long. Spadix 21 x
5.7 cm. Fruits apically greenish with white zone around the
short (2 mm) stigmata, 1.9 x 0.7-0.8 cm.
