o co ?vj CO O) en co en 03796595 SENSITIVE FERN ( Onoclea sensibilis L. ) This specimen of the Sensitive Fern is the form obtusilobata, an intermediate form between the sterile and fertile leaves, which occurs after a plant has been damaged in some way. The edges of the pinnae are bipinnatifid, with the lobes rounded; the usual frond is pinnatifid with wavy edges. As is usual with this fern, it was found growing at the edge of a lake in dappled shade.
