floodplain betw. Kurupukari & Apoteri villages, near Ladysmith
tributary. Elevation: 300 m. 4°15'&"N 58°30'0"W. Lowland riparian
forest, seasonally inundated; soil with thick humus layer over brown
sand, silt. Secondary hemi-epiphyte; infructescence orangish yellow.
Growing 10 m in tree. Aerial absorbing roots used for cordage, basketry
& wicker furniture.
