weakly glossy/ dark green above/ slightly
paler below; midrib above obtusely 1-ribbe
at base/ becoming obtusely angular (sharp
on younger plants); primary lateral veins
prominently raised both surfaces; tertiary
veins distinct below/ flat; darker than
surface; inflorescence erect; spathe med-
ium green/ coriaceous/ reflexed; spadix
dark maroon (B & K red-purple 2/2.5) ;
tepals matte/ becoming brown at later
stages of anthesis/ pollen pale orange.
