I Annotation Label wi «£ UJalt&jy-vi Marion Ownbey Own NEW YORK BOTANICAL GARDEN PLANTS OF CALIFORNIA DISTBIBTJTED BY THE HERBARIUM OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA, BERKELEY 350. Allium campanulatum Watson, Proe. Am. Acad. 14 (1879) 231; Univ. Calif. Publ. Bot. 4 (1912) 196. Jonesville, Butte County, alt. 1550 m. Common in loose soil in open pine woods. This may be assumed to be topotypic Allvum Bidwelliae, as Jonesville was the favorite camping place of General and Mrs. Bidwell on this, their road. The supposed distinctive characters of A. Bidwelliae are inconstant, even locally. Beports of A. campanu- latum from the Coast Bange need verification. Collected by E. B. Copeland, July 3, 1929. 03761990 03761990
