Lower pistillate, upper staminatej very late
flowering stalks, small. Only 2 inflorescences
yv	at most were observed and no sign of new in-
yf	florescences in heart of plant. Flowering not
continuous. All with suckers.
*	Irrigation canal, 1/h mile west of Stockton.
