Common in cracks of limestone rock of west facing cliffs. Often assoc. with Ribes montigenum.

Description
Calyx dark violet to pale green with farinose surface; corolla lobes violet, becoming pale violet with age, darker at base of lobes; throat yellow-orange inside, yellow with violet tinge on outside; anthers yellow. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
