FOREST COUNTY Potamogeton alpinus Balbis var. tenuifolius (Raf.) Ogden (det. E. C. Ogden) Local. Stream 5 to 25 feet wide, 1-3 1/2 feet deep, water brown but clear, bottom sand and silt or large boulders, mostly meandering in meadows. Aquatic plants locally abundant: Potamogeton alpinus, P. richardsonii, P. illinoensis (?), Sagittaria cuneata, Sparganium chlorocarpum, Callitriche verna.
