PLANTS OF CALIFORNIA, U.S.A. Phoradendron californicum Nutt. SAN BERNARDINO CO.: N of Arrowhead Junction along U.S. 95 near Piute Wash ca. 8.66 km E of the summit (1139) of Homer Mountain. T11N, R20E, Sec. 16. Lat.: 35o02'08'’N Long.: 114°49'3rW (WGS84 Datum). Elev. 555 m. Parasitic on Acacia scattered along wash banks with Larrea. Encelia & Atriplex. Suffrutescent, dioecious hemiparasite; stems to 60 cm long, dull green to reddish, canescent on newer growth; leaves scale-like, to 2 mm long; perianth parts 3, brownish-tan, persistent on apex of fruit; berry white to reddish-pink.
