White sand savanna with sandstone rock outcrops. Dimorphandra dominant on shrub islands and drier parts. Grading to wet areas with standing water. Central part recently burned. Common. White latex in all plant parts. Leaves ascending. Inflor/infructescence terminal. Calyx green, corolla yellow-orange, fruits 2-parted, attached apically, red. Silica sample. K.J.
