J; Kolderup Rosen vinge. Sur quelques phenomenes de croissance chez les
i Cladophora et Chsetomorpha, in 6ot. Tidsskr. 18:64. 1892. The author
mentions! the occurrence of external rhizoids applied to the surface of
jower /cells ip Chsetomorpha wormskjoldii Kjellm. (Conferva worsm-
kjoldii Mert.) and makes the statement t^hat since the zpospores have
four cilia and a spine-like posterior end, this species should be placed in
.. the genus Urospora. • . v	<'
The variety differs from the species, hitherto reported only from Greenland,
in being much larger and in having filaments not becoming attenuate at
SB	1	• t '•
the ends.
