Description
Plants in colonies from often long and relatively thin rhizomes; root tuberous; leaves pale green above , very pale below. Upper corolla lobe deep yellow; sac bright yellow above, pale sulfur-yellow below; internally sac with large deep red-maroon splotch and pattern of dots, externally with few small dots just in front of reflexed portion. Sac markedly "slipper-shaped". Phenology of specimen: Flower.
