    Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Georeferenced to 100 m south of the western shore of the mouth of Paraná do Xiborena. Using Google Earth and Google Maps - Satellite View, located Paraná do Xiborena, situated south of the city of Manaus, nearby the confluence of Rio Negro and Rio Amazonas/Rio Solimões. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the western shore of the mouth of the stream (at the confluence of Paraná do Xiborena and Rio Negro, according to the locality description). Used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to find the linear extent of the starting location of the offset (the mouth of Paraná do Xiborena) by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the mouth of the stream. Input coordinates, linear extent (131.875 m), measurement error (.5 m), offset direction (S), offset distance (100 m), and distance precision (1 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the offset coordinates and the uncertainty radius (according to Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Offset: Offset at a heading).
