Habitat
Open areas. South slope. With Artemisia tridentata vaseyana, Symphoricarpos oreophilus with scattered Cercocarpus ledifolius. Also with Sisyrinchium douglasii inflatum. Common. Rocky basalt.

Description
Basal leaves toothed; plant glab except for the gland-pub. Lavender flowers. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
