Red shaly soil, with Pinus edulis,
Ephedra, Cercocarpus ledifolius
intricatus, Opuntia erinacea, Yucca
baccata, Gutierrezia, Ceanothus,
Commandra, Lepidium, Hymenoxys,
Sclerbcactus. Occasional, acaulescent,
inflorescence racemose.
