' Mouriria -parvifoha Beirfch., occasional in -the Atlantic forests, is a slender
glabrous shrub or small tree with,sessile estibe ovate pinnate-nerved leaves and
small axillary flowers. In Salvador it is «aliad “camarón” amd ‘‘capulín,y erde,’’
and in Panamaarracheche.” In general appearance tbs species of Mouriria
Fanaína, at© yery unlike th$ otber Central American members of the Melastomaceae.
