4611215 m.N (Zone 12, NAD 27). Elev. 7888 ft.
Growing on W-facing windy slope apparantly never bothered by
phosphate mining down road. Near drainage divide of mountain
range With Artemisia. Eriqeron. and Phlox. Seems to be growing
on periphery of safe haven supplied by Artemisia and
Svmphoricarpos.
