ASCLEPIADACEAE Solitary to clump-forming herbs to 4ft tall, locally common but generally uncommon, flowers fragrant & with the same general coloration as Asclepias speciosa & A. syriaca. In a grassland/savanna at the base of an east-facing slope in dry clay-loam (Coming clay loam, 1 to 5 percent slopes; fine, mixed, active, thermic Typic Palexeralfs). With Avena fatua, Centaurea melitensis, Elytrigia pontica subsp. pontica, Eriogonum nudum var. pubiflorum, Quercus douglasii & Rumex sp. To the W. side of Wilbur Springs Road, around 300ft SW of the intersection with Bear Valley Road & just SW of where Sulphur Creek enters Bear Creek. Colusa Co.
