Upper ridgetop an old firebreak; remaining slopes
vested in fairly dense chaparral with Quercus chrysolepis
woodland occurring in patches in the more mesic lateral
draws.
Locally uncommon herbaceous perennial in opening
amid the scrub on the low«: slope.
