United States of America. California. Mono Co. Glass Mountain Region: E-slope of Black Mountain, appx. 2.5km S of peak, at end of old mine/ranch road from Kelty Meadows area. (Glass Mountain quad).

Habitat
Small E-running drainage cutting through rocky decomposed granite alluvium. Dense upland scrub of Artemisia tridentata, Purshia tridentata, Eriogonum umbellatum, Chrysothamnus viscidiflorus, Grayia spinosa, Symphoricarpos rotundifolius and occasional Pinus monophylla. More mesic wash areas with Populus tremuloides, Ribes cereum, Salix geyeriana, Agastache urticifolia, Wyethia mollis, Potentilla glandulosa. Uncommon along base of wash.

Description
To 2.5 m high, trunk bark greenish-yellow. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
