Among granitic boulders on N-facing arroyo bank with Ambrosia.
Ephedra. Larrea. Amsinckia. Encelia. Bebbia & Cvlindropuntia.
Perennials; stems radially symmetric, dimorphic, the horizontal
rhizomes with many roots and the erect aerial stems rooting only
near the bases; leaves abruptly adnate at base, with ascending
cilia + 0.1 mm long throughout; terminal setae to 0.5 mm long.
