T11N, R17E, Sec. 9. Lat.: 38°49,21,,N Long.: ^OOS’Sr'W (WGS84 Datum). Elev. 7960 ft. Crevices and ledges of SE-facing granite outcrop with Quercus, Arctostaphylos & Ceanothus. Plants perennial from closely- branched, short-creeping rhizomes; leaves predominantly 2- pinnate, with non-circinate vernation; rachises rounded adaxially; costae with multiseriate scales, costal scales + linear, the body ca. 0.2 mm wide, long ciliate at base; ultimate segments to 3 mm long, tomentose abaxially, with scattered branched hairs adaxially.
