    Sedge; perennial, 20-40cm, stem; straight, single, edge apparent , leaves; at base & at inflorescence, 4-6 at inflorescence, 20-25 at base, roots; thin, thread-like off tought rhizome, up to 10cm long, inflorescence; deep brown, terminal clusters, 3-8 on.
