soil, beneath Abies lasiocarpa and Picea engel-
mannii at top of pass. Elevation 5810’ ca mi
due W of Montana line and ca 5 mi S of Canada
border. Plants rare with Menziesia ferruginea,
Vaccinium membranaceum, Ribes montigenum, and
Saxifraga ferruginea. Flowers white.
