Tiarella trifoliata L. var. unifoliata (Hook.) Kurtz.
FLATHEAD COUNTY: Stillwater State Forest, Whitefish Range,
13.5 mi. n of Whitefish on FR 1658, ca. 1.1 mi. from jet. of Upper
Whitefish Lake Rd. Montane forest dominated by Abies grandis,
Abies bifolia, Picea engelmannii, & Larix occidentalis.
Understory plants include Acer glabrum, Cornus stolonifera, &
Xerophyllum tenax. Elevation 4800’. Aspect W. Substrate
metamorphic. Slope 10%. Plants common along moist seep.
Flowers white.
