In sunny swamp, with grasses and sedges. The leaves are all
basal, very variable in size (the largest from 5 to 18 centimeters
long, including the petioles), entire or serrate, sessile, or with more
or less winged petioles, oblaneeolate to obovate, the apex rounded
(usually) to acute.
