M.S. HPLC (No. 48) revealed compounds that could be cameic acid derivatives. Ascospores 10-12 x 5-i
JF: Definitely not H. rubiginosum nor H. carneum. This fungus keys out to H. anthochroum s. 1. in Ju &
(1996) but differs from typical material in having more effused stromata that lack a vinaceous tinge on s|
olivaceous yellow pigments in KOH and ascospores with more broadly rounded ends and less coarsely
ornamented perispore.
The three specimens (Nos 48-50), all from Cuba, are somewhat different in stromatal shape and thickni
nerithecial dimensions, but otherwise share all other distinctive characters. They also appeared upon HE
