Ju & Rogers (1996) Cuba, Santa Clara Prov., Rio Gavelan, March 1910, N. L. Britton et al., det. J. H. Miller as H. rubigino M.S. HPLC (No. 48) revealed compounds that could be cameic acid derivatives. Ascospores 10-12 x 5-i JF: Definitely not H. rubiginosum nor H. carneum. This fungus keys out to H. anthochroum s. 1. in Ju & (1996) but differs from typical material in having more effused stromata that lack a vinaceous tinge on s| olivaceous yellow pigments in KOH and ascospores with more broadly rounded ends and less coarsely ornamented perispore. The three specimens (Nos 48-50), all from Cuba, are somewhat different in stromatal shape and thickni nerithecial dimensions, but otherwise share all other distinctive characters. They also appeared upon HE 03392998
