Population very uniform. Stems completely prostrate
growing among grasses and forbs in open areas of Tamau-
lipan scrubland on caliche or limestone ridge.
Flowers pink. Entire population (ca. 200 plants) confined
to ca. 4 acres of ground NW of caliche pit, most of these
near the entrance from the paved highway.
