Habitat
In montane forest with Pinus contorta-Picea glauca and Shepherdia canadensis shrubs, along road banks, in rich fen wih Oicea mariana and Betula-Salix shrubs and Tomenthypnum nitens in the ground layer, and along small streams with overhanging shrubs.
