Delicate annual, localized on decomposed granite flat
with Penstemon centranthifolius\ petals ca 3-3.5 mm long,
white drying pink.
Associated locally with Quercus chrysolepis, Q.
wislizeni, Polystichum imbricans curium, Tauschia
arguta, Eriastrum densifolium austromontanum,
Penstemon grinnellii, Keckiella ternata, Adenostoma
fasciculatum, Bromus grandis, Stipa coronata, Ceanothus
cordulatus (relictual here; only 2 plants seen), etc.
