In sandy soil on NW-facing slope with Chrysothamnus. Bouteloua &
Helianthus. Plants annual from a slender taproot; stems appressed
pilose below, glabrescent above; leaf segments filiform, mucronate;
calyx united 2/3 of its length, minutely glandular; corolla pale blue-
lavender, to 55 mm long; stamens 5, unequally inserted, 2 usually
exerted; capsules to 14 mm long, ca. twice as long as the calyx.
