North slope of Pecacho Peak, San Benito County, in the Upper
Sonoran Zone of the South Coast Eanges.
In moist soil largely of decomposed serpentine in sparse shade of
Pinus Coulteri and Quercus dumosa; a few trees of Libocedrus
deourrens and bushes of Salix Breweri along the near-by creek.
Petals pink, deeply emarginate.
