Description
A very slender tree; stem 4 inches thick, terete, wavy in appearance, 25 feet high, branched at the top, wood hard and heavy, the thin outer portion whitish, latericious toward the center, without taste or odor; bark very thin, yellowish and smooth or flaking in thin plates, more or less finely checked on the branches; branches nearly horizontal, the longer ones half drooping, sparingly rebranched; leaves scattered along the branches, descending, rather heavy and chartaceous, duller green above, the terminal or young ones light green; inflorescence lateral, lateral, as are also the fruits, stalks angular and bright green; the calyx yellowish-white; young fruits green. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
