RANCHO SANTA ANA BOTANIC GARDEN Flora of the Liebre Mountains, Los Angeles County, California, U.S.A. Polemoniaceae Gilia aff. australis (Mason & A.Grant) V.Grant LIEBRE MTN: N slope, along upper portions of the Pacific Crest Trail which follows the ridge just E of Horse Camp Canyon. Elevation between 4880-5680 feet. Area locally dominated by Quercus spp. and chaparral elements; with scattered Pinus sabiniana and Aesculus californica, and occasional openings with grasses and herbs. Annual; fairly common locally.
