Elevation 2800 feet. Aspect south. In seepy Imnaha basalt sand and gravel. Corolla yellow. Growing with Pseudoroegneria spicata, Mimulus guttatus, Amsinckia retrorsa, Lomatium dissectum var. multifidum, and the non-natives Centaurea solstitialis and Bromus tectorum.
